Youngest Indie Horror Director 2025
The youngest indie horror director of 2025 is Aeris Danet, a 15 years old high school freshman who wrote, directed, and produced the psychological horror slasher short film, NEBULOUS.
The now 16-year-old high school sophomore from Illinois gained worldwide recognition when she was named the youngest winner in the history of the Chicago Horror Film Festival snagging the "BEST HORROR FIRST-TIME DIRECTOR" award.
After gaining several official selections, nominations and honorable mentions at various 2025 horror film festivals throughout the United States Danet is now adapting her short film NEBULOUS into a full-length feature film.
