I don’t think of independent filmmaking as a risk. All I can say is that I am a horror fan, I’ve been my whole life. Some girls carried barbie dolls at 5 years old. I’m not that girl. Some girls want to grow up and be an actor, I got my SAG card at 10 years old. This girl wanted to make a horror movie, so she started with a short film, entered a rough idea into the horror film festival circuit. She ended up winning “Best Horror First-Time Director” and landed on google searches for “Youngest Indie Horror Director 2025” at only 15 years old. Now, I will spend my entire 16th year dedicated to trying to raise funds to adapt my short idea into a full length feature film. I will stay on the path to start filming summer of 2027.
